Re: New Jail Visitation Times

A new jail visitation schedule will be implemented beginning October 28, 2008. Allowing more time for civilians to vist inmates.

Thursday
8:00 AM - 8:30 PM
Saturday
8:00 AM - 8:30 PM
Sunday
8:00 AM - 8:30 PM

Visitors shall enter the County Jail through the Visitation Area Entrance located on the south west corner of the building. All visitors are subject to security controls that have been established by the Jail. No contraband or weapons are allowed to enter the facility. No outer garments, purses, cell phones, hats etc., will be allowed into the visitation area. These items will be left on the coat rack in the lobby. Richland County Jail is not responsible for items left or stolen in the lobby area. All visitors shall provide positive identification through the use of a Photo Identification Card. All visitors shall have a maximum of 20 minutes per visit.

Two visitors are allowed to visit an Inmate at one time. Inmates are only allowed one visit per visitation day. CASH ONLY will be accepted during visitation hours. If you're unable to visit, money orders are accepted via postal service. Appropriate clothing may be dropped off for an inmate only for court appearances. This applies to inmates having a jury trial only.
