2008 Over 2007 [9-Month Comparison]

Part I Crime Increased By: 5.95% (or Up by 59-Offenses)

Part I Offenses [Violent & Property Crimes]

Part I Offenses reported to the Sheriff's Office consists of violent crimes (composed of murder and non-negligent manslaughter, forcible rape, robbery, and aggravated assault) and property crimes (composed of burglary, larceny-theft, motor vehicle theft, and arson.

Violent crimes up by 38.8% (up by 14 offenses) and Property Crimes increased by 4.71% (up by 45-offenses) within the Sheriff's Office primary policing jurisdiction.

With regards to Violent Crimes, in comparison to the same time period last year, the highest change occurred in

Forcible Rapes; rose by 53.8%(or up by 7 offenses).

With regards to Property Crimes, in comparison to the same time period last year, the highest change occurred in

Arsons; rose by 83.3% (or up by 5 offenses.)

Part II Crime Decreased By: 4.365% (or 90 less Offenses)

Part II Criminal Offenses [All other crimes except Part I]

Total Part I & II Crimes Down by: 1.01% (0r 31 less offenses)
